1. Boost Skin Health

One of the best skin care tips for men is to eat healthy food, and tomatoes are beneficial for skin health.

Tomatoes are abundant in lycopene, a pigment found in some of the more expensive over-the-counter face washes. Apart from eating them, tomatoes can also be used in your skincare routine. Start with roughly eight to twelve tomatoes if you wish to try it for skincare.

Spread the vegetable’s skin on your face, with the inside touching your skin. Allow the tomatoes to sit on your face for at least 10 minutes before washing them off. Your skin will feel fresh and radiant. There may be some redness, but this should fade in no time.

2. Prevents Prostate Cancer

Many studies have found that eating tomatoes with high levels of lycopene reduce your likelihood of developing stomach, colorectal cancer, and most especially, prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is one of the leading cancers among men. According to a UK study, eating tomatoes may lower the risk of prostate cancer. The study stated that those who consume more than 10 portions of tomatoes each week reduce their risk by about 20%.

Lycopene is a naturally occurring antioxidant that inhibits the formation of malignant cells. Cooked tomatoes contain more lycopene, so men are advised to take advantage of this.

Tomatoes can help to lessen the amount of harm smoking cigarettes has caused to your health. A study published in the European Respiratory Journal suggested that eating fruits like tomatoes might help repair lung damage in people who have stopped smoking. 

 Chemicals like chlorogenic acid and coumaric acid in tomatoes effectively keep the body healthy from carcinogens caused by smoking.

5. Provides Antioxidants

Tomatoes are high in Vitamin A and Vitamin C. These nutrients are excellent for men because they act as antioxidants in the blood, neutralizing damaging free radicals.

Free radicals swimming in the bloodstream are harmful because they can destroy cells. Studies have shown that tomatoes reduce inflammation and fight oxidative stress. A study in middle-aged men found that low blood levels of lycopene and beta-carotene lead to an increased risk of heart attacks and stroke.

Tomatoes are excellent in lowering cholesterol and blood pressure since they contain lycopene, vitamin B, and potassium. As a result, having tomatoes in your daily balanced diet will help you avoid heart attacks, strokes, and a variety of other heart illnesses that could put your life at risk.
