It took Barcelona 12 minutes on the clock to take the lead against Espanyol. Lamine Yamal threw in a delightful assist with the outside of his right foot and Dani Olmo slotted home from inside the box.
Barca were back in action in La Liga and it took them 12 minutes to strike the first blow against Espanyol. Hansi Flick’s side, who had already been lurking in Joan Garcia’s area for several minutes, took advantage of the partnership between Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo.
Lamine Yamal received on the right flank and shot an exquisite outside shot to break through the Perica defence. Olmo, attentive to the action, read the play and scored with his right foot after touching the goalkeeper and then the woodwork.
It is the eighth assist for the gem of the Azulgrana squad this season and the fourth goal for the former RB Leipzig player, all of them in the league championship, who has previously scored against Rayo Vallecano, Valladolid and Girona.
