5 Proven Strategies To Improve Your Blog/Website Traffic
Talk about getting yourself easily seen, heard and visible by your target audiences, then you need a blog. It’s been said by thought leaders that the best way to fast-track one’s thought leadership prowess is by owning a blog. Owing to this, understand that a blog is one of the most effective ways of sharing your message and advice with others. In addition to this, a blog is also an easy way to position yourself as an authority in your topic or niche.

However, it’s not enough to have a blog: it’s one thing to set up your blog and it’s another thing to get maximum traffic. Setting up a blog and not getting enough traffic can be as frustrating as not getting sales for your products. Crazy! So, we’ll be discussing five tested and proven ways you can drive maximum traffic to your blog.

1. WRITE GREAT CONTENTS: The best way to get more people to pay attention to you is to never be average. Nobody, I repeat, nobody absolutely would like to relate to a content that isn’t adding any measure of value to them. So, it’s vitally crucial that pay attention to the kind of content you put out as this could build or mar you. As a blogger or writer, you should be committed to writing remarkable contents. People must see the value!

2. LEVERAGE SOCIAL MEDIA: It’s no more news that social media is the real deal, and you must; leverage it for your blog too. You should definitely have a profile on very platform relevant to your niche. I strongly recommend Twitter and probably Facebook plus Instagram (IG). That doesn’t mean you must have a strong presence on all of them. Just one or two is fine. As a blogger, focus more on the microblogging (the activity or practice of making short, frequent posts) platform – Twitter. You’d have to share the link to your blog on all these platforms so your followers can connect and visit your blog. Finally, find what works best for you and focus on it.

3. BUILD AN EMAIL LIST/BOT LIST: It is important to note that your list of email subscribers will likely be your greatest source of recurring traffic to your blog. The reality is very few people visit a blog a second time unless they are subscribed to that blog. and the earlier you have an email list, the better. Another thing you could focus on is your bot system which literally has more open rate than an email list. Either way, the idea is that your audience can revisit your blog via email.

GUEST BLOGGING: This is the most creative and easiest way of getting people to visit your blog.The idea is, you write a blog post exclusively for someone else’s blog, and they get to publish a new piece of content on their blog without having to write it themselves. I think it’s a win-win for the both of you. At the end of your article, you should include a short bio about yourself along with a link back to your own blog. This way, if someone enjoys your article and wants to check out your blog, they can easily do so. However, you’ll need to find the blogs only relevant to your niche. 5. IMPROVE YOUR POSTING FREQUENCY: Finally, another strategy to increase traffic to your blog is to simply increase your posting frequency. If you have been posting 1-2 new articles per month, increase your frequency to 1-3 new articles per week. If you’ve been posting 1-2 per week, increase your frequency to 3-4. You get the idea. Just increase it using this idea. However, the important thing to note here is that your content shouldn’t reduce in value because of the frequency.
