Arsenal host Sheffield United on Saturday, giving Bukayo Saka the chance to create a goal for the seventh time in a row in the Premier League, something no Englishman has done for the Gunners since 1994.
At just 22 years of age, Bukayo Saka is already in his fifth season as a regular starter for Arsenal. After just eight games this season, the English winger has 4 goals and 3 assists to his name.
But it is his regularity that really impresses, as the Englishman could be decisive on Saturday against Sheffield United in his seventh consecutive league game after Fulham, Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Chelsea.
The last time Saka finished a Premier League match without a goal, or an assist was on Matchday 2 at Crystal Palace. It should be noted that the recent match against Manchester City is not counted, as he was injured and absent.
The London club points out that since 2016 and Alexis Sanchez, no ‘Gunners’ player has achieved such a feat of constancy, and to find an Englishman with the same statistic, you have to go back to 1994 with club legend Ian Wright.
