Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah during the Launch of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premiere League stated in her speech that there is a substantial increase in appearance fees for all Women’s Premiere League Clubs from Ghs 40,000 to Ghs 60,000 in the 2023/2024 season.

Gifty, who had the honor of representing the Ghana Football Association (GFA)’s President, Mr. Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku, and the entire Executive Council (EXCO) at the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League Launch in the capacity as the Women’s Representative on the EXCO and a delegate of the GFA President addressed the audience, shedding light on the remarkable progress of Women’s Football in Ghana and the pivotal role played by the Kurt Administration in elevating it to new heights.

In the presence of all 20 female Premiere clubs, Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah also assured the clubs that Ghana Football Association has also procured four buses, poised to be distributed to Women’s Premiere Clubs that fulfill the stipulated terms and conditions.

She continued by stating that, Ghana Football Association has forged valuable partnerships with renowned companies such as Betway, Decathlon, Goil, Melcom, among others and that these collaborations are designed to alleviate the financial burden on all 20 women premiere clubs, ensuring they have the necessary resources to excel.

The just ended event was graced by the presence of representatives from GFA’s primary sponsor, Malta Guinness, Max TV, and the distinguished Eugene Noble, who is a dedicated member of the GFA Executive Council.

She ended her speech by stating that, “Together, we are committed to advancing the cause of women’s football in Ghana.”
