According to report sighted by www.samuelboadu.com and new research done by our Media Team, Coach Freeman Amponsah who became the main Coach for Berry Ladies Football Club since January 2023 has set new Club Record by clinging bronze medal for the club; the first time in the history of the club. It has also been noted that Berry Ladies Football Club’s inherent belief will be boosted after beating Faith Ladies Football Club and becoming the 3rd Best Women’s Club in Ghana with the club seeking to go one step further than last season’s (2022/2023) 4th Position.
Berries looked to be relegated during the start of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League in 2022 until Coach Freeman Amponsah took charge in January 2023 to move the club from 7th Position to 4th Position.
Christabel Boateng, the newly recruited player by Coach Freeman, hit a winner to seal a 1-0 victory over Faith Ladies Fc, their last season rival to seal that record for the club.
“We know how hard it is to play against them. It was a great performance from the team and a great win,” Coach Freeman Amponsah said.
“Of course (it gives us more belief we can win this season’s title). We are Berry Ladies FC, and we are always believing about the League title. To win against a Top 4 team is great and we just need to carry on.”
Berry Ladies Football Club under Coach Freeman since January 2023 have gone unbeaten in 6(six) league matches before and with what is called a new Berry is a step to build a new hope for a league title in the 2023/2024 league.
“When you play for Berry Ladies Football Club you have to always believe and this is what we do,” Martha Appiah once said, as the club target their first Women’s Premier League title. “We play for Berry Ladies FC, and we always believe we can win the titles. It’s another year. We’re going to try to improve things and try to do better than last year.”
