What If God Wants Us to Be Gods? The concept of humanity aspiring to divinity or being like our creator is an age-old philosophical and theological question that has left minds of great thinkers baffled and sparked contemplation across civilizations worldwide. After the death of my mother, I kept thinking, what if, within our existence on earth, the divine intent is for us to evolve into gods ourselves? This thought by me has provoked a profound exploration into my purpose, my potential, and the nature of my connection with the divine.
- The Essence of Divinity within Us:
In various religious and spiritual traditions, the idea that humans are made in the image of God is a fundamental tenet. This idea is biblical and appears in the Quran as well. Most religion I have also researched on also have the same or similar fundamental. This implies that we all have divinity within, suggesting the potential for spiritual evolution. If we accept this, it leads to the proposition that God may desire for us to unfold, explore our divine nature, transcending limitations and realizing our fullest potential.
- Becoming Co-creators:
What if the purpose of our existence is not merely to worship a distant deity or God we have all not seen before, but to actively participate in the ongoing creation of the universe? Many spiritual philosophies propose that we are co-creators with the divine, endowed with the ability to shape our reality through our thoughts, actions, and intentions. Embracing this perspective empowers us to take responsibility for our lives and the world around us.
- The Journey of Self-Discovery:
My notion that God desires us to become gods implies a journey of self-discovery and self-realization. It invites me to explore the depths of my consciousness, unlocking the divine qualities within me. This journey when ready to be discovered may involve spiritual practices, meditation, and a commitment to personal growth, leading us to unveil the godlike attributes of love, compassion, and wisdom that reside within our souls.

If God wishes for us to be gods as I believe, then the essence of this divinity lies in unconditional love.
