Envy and Jealousy: The idea that celebrating other people’s success is one of the ways of dealing with envy and jealousy is a far cry from the Truth. I mean, social media is littered with bitter people everywhere, filled with envy and jealousy trying to daily put up with other people’s success in celebrating them while they get even more bitter in their privacy.

Not everyone who celebrates you mean well for you. Some of them are filled with lethal envy and jealousy for you, celebrating you and putting up with your seeming progress is just a strategy for them to try to bury the public manifestation of their deep-seated bitter feelings.

ENVY AND JEALOUSY IS NOT TOTALLY BAD but many times, it is a voice trying to point you to what you should be doing that you are not doing. Sometimes when you see people succeeding in things you are afraid of trying, becoming things you thought was hard, succeeding in things you spent a large chunk of your life procrastinating, it is inevitable to feel bitter, envy and jealousy at their success. Worst is when they are your friends.

You’d notice that bulk of what you envy people for are things you must have failed in, things that have been in your heart to do but you keep procrastinating. It is a sense of personal failure and retrogression that champions the feeling of bitterness and envy for other people’s progress. This is what you should do.

- CHANNEL THAT ENERGY INTO PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: Wake up and begin to put your ideas to work. Be diligent and Resilience with the Understanding that having the Desires is Okay but there has to be a WORK.

- STOP PROCRASTINATING: There is a sense of fulfillment that comes with daily working towards your goals. That sense of fulfillment is what you need to be able to appreciate people’s success. If you are planting seeds like others are, their harvest will not threaten you. Except they are planting seeds and you are eating yours, then envy will be your portion in the days of harvest
