Ghana‘s Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Sam Nartey George, has highlighted the importance of data synchronization in the country’s digital transformation efforts and its potential to drive economic growth.
Speaking during a meeting with the UK High Commissioner, Harriet Thompson, Sam George stressed the role of synchronising datasets across different systems to maintain consistency, allowing for accurate, up-to-date information. He stated that automated data collection reduces manual errors, improves productivity, and enhances service delivery across government institutions.
He outlined key priorities for achieving the benefits of data synchronisation in Ghana, including:
- Investment in digital infrastructure
- Development of local capacity
- Promotion of data-driven innovation
- Collaboration between government, the private sector, and civil society.

He noted that these steps would enable Ghana to unlock its potential for sustainable economic growth and development.
