Gifty Mawunya Dumelo, wife of actor and politician Gifty Mawunya Dumelo has revealed her plans to support her husband by focusing on empowering women and children.
The wife of the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon revealed this during an interview with Pulse Ghana at the swearing-in ceremony of President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on January 7, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra.
“I will be supporting my husband, John Dumelo, by focusing on empowering women and children to help lighten his load,” Gifty Dumelo shared, highlighting her dedication to complementing her husband’s efforts as he serves in his political capacity.
The event coincided with the inauguration of the 9th Parliament of the Fourth Republic in the early hours of January 7, 2025. The swearing-in ceremony was a significant national event, marking President Mahama’s return to office and the beginning of a new chapter under his leadership.
