Inaki Williams Shines with a Brace in Athletic Bilbao's 4-1 Victory Over Espanyol

Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams was the star of the show, scoring twice as Athletic Bilbao secured a dominant 4-1 win over Espanyol at San Mames during matchday 10 of the Spanish La Liga.

In the opening six minutes of the game, Bilbao took the lead with Daniel Vivian finding the back of the net, courtesy of a well-timed pass from Nico Williams. The momentum shifted in Bilbao’s favor, and soon enough, Inaki Williams began his scoring spree.

The Black Stars forward netted his first goal in the 28th minute after receiving a perfectly placed ball from Alex Berenguer, calmly finishing to make it 2-0. Just two minutes later, Inaki doubled his tally, once again capitalizing on an assist from Berenguer to extend the lead to 3-0, giving the home team a commanding advantage.

Bilbao’s fourth goal came early in the second half, with Berenguer getting on the scoresheet himself, putting the match well out of Espanyol’s reach. Espanyol managed a consolation goal when Alvaro Tejero scored in the final stages, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome of the game.
