As ‘The Times’ reported and sighted by SKB Journal-Sports, Manchester United are reportedly considering Greenwood’s return this summer. The English striker, who is on loan at Getafe, has a contract with the Red Devils until 2025, although his alleged rape scandal kept him away from Old Trafford. Now, the English club could have changed their mind due to the player’s stellar season.

Mason Greenwood has felt like a footballer again at Getafe. The English player has been one of the most important players for Getafe, where he has already played 31 games and has scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists.

However, the winger is on loan at the Coliseum as he is contracted to Manchester United until 2025. Despite this, and following the controversy over his alleged rape, the Red Devils had no intention of keeping the player.

Something that, according to ‘The Times’, could have changed in the last few days. Manchester United are considering bringing Greenwood back for next season. The English team’s financial situation could be affected if they do not qualify for the Champions League, a competition they are currently out of, so the Englishman would be a guaranteed option at zero cost.

Several clubs had already had their eye on the player, though, following his good performances. One of the most talked about was Juventus, who would be willing to sign him for next season.
