National Sports Authority Suspends Digital Ticketing for Ghana-Chad World Qualifier Match

National Sports Authority Suspends Digital Ticketing– Persistent technical challenges have prompted a significant change ahead of the 2026 World Cup Qualifier between Ghana and Chad. The Ministry for Sports and Recreation, via the National Sports Authority (NSA), has halted the use of its digital ticketing platform – meaning fans will now be required to purchase printed tickets at the Accra Sports Stadium.

This move marks a stark departure from Ghana’s earlier adoption of digital ticketing, a system that debuted in 2022 during a World Cup playoff match against Nigeria at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Over time, the e-ticketing platform has encountered repeated problems, including failures to verify online purchases and ongoing internet connectivity issues. Problems with the e-ticketing also arose during Ghana’s match against Sudan in the 2024 AFCON qualifying match.

At this time, the NSA has not disclosed the specific locations where tickets can be bought, leaving supporters eagerly awaiting further updates. The Black Stars are set to face Chad on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 7 PM, with ticket prices for the match established as follows: – VVIP – GH₵200, VIP – GH₵150, Lower VIP – GH₵100, Osu Stand – GH₵20, Popular Stand – GH₵10.
