"Prince David Osei Slams Post-Election Violence: ‘Is This Democracy?’"

Ghanaian actor and NPP sympathizer, Prince David Osei, has expressed concern over alleged harassment and threats from supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following their electoral victory.

In a social media post sighted by Ameyaw Debrah Media, the renowned thespian who openly supported the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2024 general elections, shared screenshots of direct messages filled with insults and threats. He questioned the actions of some NDC supporters, writing, “Is this the meaning of democracy? Even after winning an election, resorting to violence, insults, intimidation, and bullying?”

The actor further disclosed his shock and disappointment at the hostility directed toward him, suggesting that his safety could be at risk. “Now that I know you are after my life, I will be prepared. God is my source and protector,” he wrote. He further cautioned his detractors, saying, “Be cautious when you come for me. Not everyone is willing to enter into a battle.”

While asserting that he is not afraid, Prince described the situation as deeply unsettling, calling for respect and tolerance despite political differences. His post has sparked widespread discussions, with many urging for calm and unity in the aftermath of the elections.
