‘L’Equipe’, on Tuesday afternoon, published a denial launched directly from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) towards Barcelona for the interview that Enric Masip gave to ‘El Chiringuito’. The executive recalled when Joan Laporta revealed an offer of 250 million euros for Lamine Yamal from the Parc des Princes. The French side deny it categorically.
About a month ago, for a Barcelona official media podcast, president Joan Laporta revealed that he had rejected an offer of 250 million euros from a French team for Lamine Yamal in the summer. On Tuesday morning, his assistant Enric Masip, on Josep Pedrerol’s ‘El Cafelito’ programme on ‘El Chiringuito’, explained that it was from Paris Saint-Germain.
A few hours later, the newspaper ‘L’Equipe’ published a brief article in which it is stated that the Parc des Princes outfit have contacted the newspaper to deny it. The offices in the French capital admit that they asked about the situation of the Spanish star because it was part of the daily routine of Luis Campos in the sporting direction.
However, the Gauls maintain that there was no concrete proposal to the Spaniards. They deny it, as quoted in the media mentioned in the previous paragraph, “at 1,000,000%”. The entity led by Nasser Al-Khelaifi also argues that it was unfeasible to carry out such an approach because the financial situation of the project would not have allowed it.
The tone suggests annoyance, although this has not, in the past, been an obstacle to the fruition of transfer deals between these clubs. Ousmane Dembele – transferred from Barça to PSG for 50.4 million -, Rafinha Alcantara – transferred from Barça to PSG for 3 million -, Neymar – transferred from Barca to PSG for 222 million -, Lucas Digne – transferred from PSG to Barca for 16. 5 million-, Maxwell Scherrer -transferred from Barca to PSG for 3.5 million- or Ronaldinho -transferred from PSG to Barca for 32.3 million- are evidence of this.
