True Story: I walked into a restaurant (Named Withheld) around East Legon and after perusing through the menu for 30 minutes, I finally got an affordable food on it to order per my pocket. I normally spoil myself each end of month (when I take my salary), trying different restaurants. After 20 mins of placing my order, another group of gentlemen walked in and ordered for theirs as well. To my dismay, I saw them get served first and fast. I watched with intense anger and hunger as they began to eat and laugh heartily pressing their phones and doing what Gen Z’s do best. I even overheard one of them brag about how he knew every staff at the restaurant, hence the reason they got things moved fast for them after placing the order. They further spoke about how the food tasted so nice and were even planning to order more. I immediately felt like I was being mocked at (still angry and hungry). I then contemplated leaving because I had waited so long and the boys really pissed me off (lolx)
.
Unable to take it anymore, I called the waiter and spoke sadly of how unfair things were. The waiter calmly told me, “Yours is a special-order Samuel, being prepared by the chief chef himself. Their orders were prepared before yours because the manager said so, plus the top chef is busy with yours. That’s why theirs came first. Please have some juice and cocktail as you wait, which OfCourse, is on the house”. I quickly asked her, “How did you know my name?“. She smiled and left.
.
Unknown to me the said manager of the restaurant, who happened to be an old long-lost friend of mine, had seen me coming and wanted to surprise me so made changes to my order to make it a five-star order. I quickly calmed down after my conversation with the waitress and waited as advised. Shortly after, my meal was served by 3 waiters and the way I was served (that restaurant can serve good).
.
Those bragging and irritating guys at the other table were shocked, peeping and murmuring, wondering why and who I was. They couldn’t stop staring and i couldn’t stop blushing and feeling special. Suddenly, they were the ones murmuring, asking why they didn’t get that kind of service forgetting they got served by what they ordered.

LESSON I LEARNT: So, it is with the life we live and the world we are in now. Some people are ahead of you and eating now, laughing at you about how they know people and how they are blessed with money and how they are enjoying life because of it. These people can friends, family or even strangers. You have been waiting for long, wondering why it’s taking so long to get your breakthrough, enduring mockery and humiliation. Maybe you have contemplated suicide before or now and even gone through depression or suffered severe mental anxiety.
.
.
Do not worry, the owner of the world (God Jehovah) has seen you, the manager of this world (Jesus the Christ) still remembers you and doesn’t want to give you simple meals like those laughing at you. The angels(waitresses) know you by name and are working hard to calm you with simple juice as instructed by the manager of this world. You’ve been waiting for long because yours is a special meal and takes time. The good and blessed thing is that, only chief chefs make those, make yours.
.
.
Take heart today with the little juice you have being given. Wait for your meal and relax whiles you watch on with their mockery and laughter. When it comes, the laughing party will be silenced for good. They will murmur and ask question and will jealously ask questions if they really know you. Calm down, it is worth the wait!
