NSÍ KVINNUR goalkeeper Abigail Tawiah Mensah feels that the timing of their 10-0 win in their last game against EB/Streym/Skala is a sign that they are in great shape to win their League.

The Black Queens Goalkeeper insists that she and her teammates are in great form at the moment, which should give them the advantage against their rivals and other teams they will face in the Faroese women’s league.

She spoke to Blvck Tick Media ahead of this week’s matches, and she surely seems to be in a confident mood.

“Personally, I’m in great shape at the moment, while the team is even better,” said Abigail in her interview as reported by Samuel Kwame Boadu’s Journal.

“We trained hard and well. It’s an honor to train with this group. We come to this match in a great moment, so I feel very confident.”

The former Berry Ladies FC player admits that this type of glamorous clashes gives her some additional motivation, but she insists that winning is what matters the most.

“Yes, they are very important matches, and you get an extra motivation. But as I always say, history remembers the team that wins.

“We know the importance of qualifying and winning our league. We are very happy to be a part of this league and currently at the second position and we’ve been waiting for it for a long time.”

Finally, the goalkeeper stated that her main concern is her own team’s display, and she believes getting more clean sheets is her personal target to help the team.

“The truth is that I’m not worried about NSÍ KVINNUR losing or winning but about our focus as a team. I expect great matches, we trained very well, we are ready and raring to go.”
