Bellingham avoided stepping on Atletico's crest as gesture of respect

Despite leaving in anger at the defeat, and despite it being the straight and narrow route to the dressing room, Jude Bellingham avoided stepping on the Atletico Madrid crest at the Metropolitano.

Jude Bellingham came very close to being sent off in the derby. In one of the last actions, he made a hard tackle on Correa that could have cost him a red card. The foul showed just how annoyed the Englishman was.

Despite being angry about the defeat, the England midfielder had a nice gesture of respect to Atletico Madrid, avoiding stepping on the ‘Colchoneros’ crest on the pitch.

It was the straight entrance to the Metropolitano changing rooms, but Bellingham stepped to one side to avoid stepping on the crest, something that caught the attention of those present.

Bellingham, despite playing for the club’s arch-rivals, was applauded from the stands for avoiding stepping on the ‘Rojiblancos’ crest at the end of the match.
