Berry Ladies 3-1 Sea Lions Ladies | Alhassan Fakiha, Elizabeth Boateng & Janet Oseion Target | Final Score
  • Berry Ladies Football Club on 4th November 2023 beat Sea Lions Ladies FC 3-1 in a Women’s Premier League clash at Home, Madina Astroturf as Sea Lions FC hoped to get their season going after unconvincing starts.
  • Last weekend, Berry Ladies FC’s manager Coach Freeman Amponsah’s side dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Faith Ladies FC while Sea Lions Ladies FC were beaten in a 1-0 defeat.
  • Berry Ladies FC have not kept a clean sheet yet but still on an unbeaten run so far this season.

It’s a wrap.

This might be the best match so far as Berry Ladies FC and Sea Lions Ladies FC live up to the billing to produce an instant classic, depending on which side your allegiance falls.

The penalty goal by Sea Lions Ladies FC’s Hannah Donnor could very well have created a different script.

In the end, though, Alhassan Fakiha, Elizabeth Linking Boateng and Janet Korkor Osei‘s Goals ensured Berry Ladies Fc went away with a vital three points.

‘Want to push this club to the next level’ – Comfort

.

Comfort Yeboah who won the Nasco MVP (Nasco Woman of the Match) at that game, shared her thoughts: “As an outsider watching Berry Ladies FC-Sea Lions Ladies FC over the years, you understand the heritage and the big players who have played in these games, yet they never won against Berry Ladies FC, and we needed to maintain that heritage.”

“We were knocking at the door. We thought we were a constant threat. If you don’t shoot you don’t score. It was a special moment,” she said.

“Berry Ladies FC is a massive club and I feel the pressure, but I try to put in the performances. I am continuing to learn and improve. I want to push this club to the next level.”

“I thought we were sloppy in the first half after our first goal, and they caught us on the counter causing the penalty though I feel that wasn’t a penalty.”

Alhassan Fakiha, Regina Donkor(C) and Comfort Yeboah showed up big time for the Berries!

Sea Lions Ladies FC will walk away sensing this was an opportunity lost to salvage a point away from Berry Ladies FC or break the curse of not defeating Berry Ladies FC before.

Hannah Donnor’s penalty goal looked like she may have equalized and perhaps win for Sea Lion FC, but in the end, Coach Freeman’s Side exhibited the kind of quality that almost took them to the title last season.

Berry Ladies FC’s players are vividly pleased with the events that transpired in the last 15 minutes, while the Sea Lions Players look forlornly on.
