Chelsea's Reece James accused of "inappropriate, insulting and abusive behaviour" by FA

The Chelsea captain, who is currently injured and absent, has been accused by the English Football Association (FA) of “inappropriate, insulting and abusive behaviour” in the tunnel at Stamford Bridge after the defeat to Aston Villa.

Even injured, Blues captain Reece James is still the talk of the town.

Absent since matchday 1 with a hamstring injury, the England international is alleged to have behaved in an “inappropriate, insulting and abusive manner” towards an official in the tunnel at Stamford Bridge after the 0-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

This is the accusation levelled at him by the English Football Association (FA) in an official statement issued on Wednesday. The player has until 29th September to respond to these accusations.

More off-field problems add to a Chelsea side in crisis who have had a dismal start to the season and will be looking to seal their place in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup against in-form Brighton.
