According to ‘Cadena SER’, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola tried to convince Jude Bellingham for three hours to join the Premier League side before deciding to move to Real Madrid for £114 million.
Jude Bellingham is the star signing of the 2023/24 season so far. The English midfielder joined Real Madrid in the summer transfer window for £114 million and is making a big impact with his performances.
The 20-year-old has scored ten goals and provided three assists in ten competitive matches this campaign. Moreover, he has shown his versatility by playing in a more attacking role in Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Many clubs were aware of his talent and also wanted to secure his services in the summer transfer window. In fact, Manchester City tried by all means to sign Bellingham to strengthen their midfield, according to ‘Cadena SER’.
The same media outlet reports that Spanish boss Pep Guardiola spent three hours trying to convince him to move to the Etihad Stadium. The coach was talking to him about the differences between the Premier League and LaLiga but the 20-year-old had already made up his mind.
