Manchester City striker Erling Haaland won the Gerd Muller Trophy for top goalscorer of the 2022/23 season on Monday.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was presented with the Muller award for last season’s top goalscorer at the Ballon d’Or gala in Paris on Monday.
The 23-year-old was presented with the award by ex-footballer Gary Lineker after scoring 52 goals in 53 appearances, key to his side’s Champions League, League and FA Cup triumphs.
The Norwegian surpassed France’s Kylian Mbappe, Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Poland’s Robert Lewandowski.
The Manchester City striker is also one of the finalists to win the 2023 Ballon d’Or after winning the treble with Manchester City last season.
