5 (Five) Things Never To Do On Instagram :They will break your Feed

5 (Five) Things Never To Do On Instagram
Quickly before I hibernate, I’ll share some things you shouldn’t do on Instagram if you must get maximum engagement. These tips will help increase your rate of engagements and will make you stand-out, too. HERE ARE THE TIPS;
.
1. Don’t Use Awkward Names or Usernames: Instagrams’ search section doesn’t work like other social media channels. Up to now, it has the weakest search strength. So, using too complicated usernames will not make your prospects find you easily. Use the name you use on other social channels as your Instagram username. Avoid all those Instagram algorithm name suggestion. Whether your name or your brands’ name, make sure it’s simple and creative.
.
2. Never Set Your Profile To Private: Understand that one of the easiest ways to lose your prospects is to give them a bad ‘first impression’ of you. It’s totally unacceptable to set your brands or even your personal handle to private. But wait first, let reason it together, I want to borrow you my money and I’m still the one looking for you? Except you’re using Instagram for personal reasons and you’re not ready to network, don’t set your profile to private. You’ll attract more follower being public than being private. So, please make “UNprivate” your profile.
.
3. Don’t be a Lurker: Growing your brand or personal handle on Instagram is about real-time engagement. Only if you’re brand new on Instagram but if you are not, you must learn to engage, like and comment on other people’s posts. That way, you’ll build more relationships with people on Instagram. When they see your posts, they’ll engage too.
.
4. Don’t follow someone only to unfollow them later to grow your fan base: I know this can be a little bit controversial as many would say that’s how to build large follower counts. But you must understand that you are not on Instagram to joke with your brand;consequently, nobody wants to be unfollowed.
If you do not want to keep your follower, please don’t follow at all. It builds, trust and credibility for your business and personal brand.
.
.
5. Don’t abuse hashtags: Truth is, hashtags are extremely crucial on Instagram and should be used on every post to increase reach. But using more than 7-10 hashtags is overkill. Choose 5-7 relevant hashtags to include in your caption. Don’t use popular hashtags like #tagforlikes or #onedirection or #love if they have absolutely nothing to do with your post. Using inappropriate hashtags to show up in popular searches won’t help you reach new followers. You’ll actually end up isolating possible followers.
.
NB. There are more I’d have shared but I don’t want this post to become too long. I’ll share more in my subsequent post.
